		<description>I think you have to draw a distinction between Obama and the representatives who voted against it though.  Obama has to find a way to get the nation behind him; representatives are representing their districts.

What makes no sense to me is Pelosi. Here is someone who represents a progressive district in California that doesn't support FISA, yet she not only went with the compromise, she touted it.  

I'm willing to give Obama more of a pass than I am Pelosi and Hoyer, because they are elected by a more specific constituency. When you're trying to appeal to voters in New York and Florida and Ohio and California and most if not all have no clue about what the 4th amendment is, much less what it means, it's a bit of a different deal.

I am reserving judgment, however, until I see what the Senate version looks like, and whether immunity is stripped which it definitely needs to be.</description>
