The good guys…. govt disclosure bill
This should end up being pretty interesting. No doubt, many fought against this bill tooth and nail. Yet, it passed fairly easily, and had quite a number of co-sponsors on all sides. I wonder if perhaps politicians are getting a bit worried…. excluding of course Ted Steven’s and crew. I can see why there would be some level of opposition, as effectively this is dumping info competitors might be very glad to have…. yet, thats a cost of doing business. I think its a very good bill.

It will be interesting to see what happens when that website goes live.

The “Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act†was a joint venture between U.S. Senators Tom Coburn (R-OK) and Barack Obama (D-IL) … now, I am no fan of Dr. Death but I wonder what ever happened to that Obama kid ?
Many consider Coburn to be one of the most conservative Senators, while the National Journal named Obama the most liberal … maybe these kids can play together after all.
There’s an old adage – liars figure and figures lie. Let me select the data pool, and I can control the outcome. The data comes from the National Journal, which I have a hunch was not going to endorse Obama.
Is Obama liberal … well, let’s just look at the first one on the list.
Establish a Senate Office of Public Integrity to handle ethics complaints against senators. So who voted with Obama … that liberal John McCain. Roll Call Vote 18
Or how about Roll Call vote 189, To remove the requirement that Y-1 nonimmigrant visa holders leave the United States before they are able to renew their visa. Joining Obama were the liberal senators Richard Shelby of Alabama and Tom Coburn of Oklahoma.
The National Journal was out to discredit Obama but also to needle Clinton. On both of the roll call votes that I cited, Clinton would be classified as “Conservative†along with Norm Coleman.
